Register for the U12 Modified Contact Spring Session

Unlike just about any other team sport, rugby is about all players having the same opportunity to run with the ball, pass the ball, and play defense.

The Metro Rugby Association (MRA) is running a spring session of inter-club rugby for U12, modified contact.
This is the third year of the spring session league and it promises to be another great season of inter-club play.
The MRA Spring Session is a unique chance for young rugby players in Toronto to get some pre-season experience playing with friends from clubs across the city. Players register with their own club and get to play with a mix of youth from across Toronto. The past two years have been a great success and we believe this year will be just as fun!

Here's the process for registering.

  • Click on this link to access the MRA Rugby page (https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/56466)
  • Enter Player Info and Parent Info
  • Proceed to Fees and select the U12 | $75.00
  • Checkout

Here is the general framework for how U12 MRA Spring Rugby will work:
When: Weekly on Wednesdays 6:30-8:00PM, beginning on May 10th*, with finals to be played on June 21st
Where: Eglinton Flats (north west corner of Jane and Eglinton). Enter the parking lot via Emmett Avenue.(http://www1.toronto.ca/parks/prd/facilities/complex/9/)
How: Games will be based on Rugby Ontario’s modified contact rules as per U12 tournament play (http://www.rugbyontario.com/Portals/214/Documents/Misc/2016/160525-U12_LawsOfTheGame_2016Final.pdf)

Player safety is always of paramount concern. Accordingly, a registered physio will be in attendance for all sessions.

As always, the league is sponsored by your home club in an effort to grow the game. So in keeping with that ideal, the more the merrier!
Please help us spread the word to ensure another successful Spring season.
Looking forward to a fantastic Spring MRA season.
