Calling all youth _13 and under_ west of Yonge St and south of Steeles Ave! If you want to play rugby, we want you!!!

Well! We had a fantastic season in 2017 and are looking to build on our success and grow our numbers for 2018.

We are recruiting:

  • Youth for our Minis program (7-and-under to 13-and-under)
  • Girls for our 13-andunder girls team
  • Coaches
  • Club Administrators

Recruiting Minis 7-and-Under to 13-and-Under (U7 - U13)
The Toronto Dragons RFC runs both non-contact and modified-contact rugby programs for four age groups:

  • 7-and under (flag: non-contact) [Birth year: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014]
  • 9-and-under (flag: non-contact) [Birth year: 2009, 2010]
  • 11-and-under (modified contact) [Birth year: 2007, 2008]
  • 13-and-under (modified contact) [Birth year: 2005, 2006]
  • Girls 13-and-under (modified contact) [Birth year: 2005, 2006]

Our winter skills session begins in January 2018 on Saturday mornings from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Lamport Stadium. Club fees are very reasonable and there is a discount for joining mid-year in January. The entire Dragons club will all be practicing together on the same pitch so the Minis can watch and learn from the Seniors (from a safe distance on the other side of the field!).

Recruiting Girls for 13-and-Under (U13)
We are building a girls of 13-and-under (7-aside) for the 2018 season and need girls to come out and join our small group of very talented young women who are graduating from our Minis program.

We want to keep these excellent players with the club and with only a few more recruits we can give our young women a bridge team into the junior and senior women’s rugby programs.

We will be playing in and around the Greater Toronto Area with other clubs that have girls-only teams.

If you know a girl who will be 13 or under in the 2018 calendar year and is interested in giving rugby a try, get in touch with us!

Recruiting Coaches
We are also recruiting coaching positions for the Minis program. Training and support is available, and this is a great chance for adults to get involved in one of the fastest growing sports in Canada. We need coaches to commit to approximately 5 hours a week to help run practices and coach at tournaments during the summer. We have a well-established coaching framework and support all our new coaching members with guidance, training, and supportive feedback.

Recruiting Administrators
We are recruiting administrators for a number of positions:

  • Marketing, Communications, and Outreach
  • Fundraising
  • Training Coordination

Come join the Toronto Dragons for 2018 and be a part of an exciting rugby season!
