Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Feb 24th at 1pm at Dark Horse Pub (2401 Bloor St W). As our club grows, the number of on and off field initiatives increase as well. The elected members of the Board of Directors are only a small number of the many volunteers we rely on each year to field each one of of minor, junior and senior teams. The AGM is a perfect time to learn about what happens behind the scenes and learn about how you may be able to contribute.
Rugby is an intense game, both physically and mentally, and no other sport matches it for its emphasis on team work, co-ordination and respect. Our club based system creates a stable, longterm environment for developing player skills and, most importantly, teaching teamwork and respect. It is the responsibility of the club to source and provide all the resources that each of its teams need throughout the season. The list of activities is extensive, they range from planning to fundraising to procurement. A very important activity is growing the sport and recruiting new members. We cannot leave it up to the Rugby Unions to grow rugby on their own, each rugby club must play a significant role in promoting and growing this great game we all love.
