Toronto Dragons Add to Medical Team Ahead of 2018 Campaign

Dragons add to the backroom skills during Winter Training to support a strong 2018 season.

The Toronto Dragons RFC proudly announce the addition of new Medical staff to support the 2018 season.

Dr. Adam Murphy is a Doctor of Chiropractic and a proud member of the Toronto Dragons Rugby Club. He graduated in 2017 as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Murphy previously attended Wilfrid Laurier University and Brock University.

Dr. Murphy is a certified Active Release Technique® provider, a certified Medical Acupuncture provider, and is certified in Integrated Therapeutics®, full body. During the last 2 years, Dr. Murphy worked as the athletic trainer for the Markham Waxers Midget “AAA” hockey club. He is currently the with Markham Thunder of the Canadian Women's Hockey League as the Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Dr. Murphy studied Health Studies and Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University and Brock University, respectively, for 3 years before becoming a chiropractor. While studying at Brock University, he was awarded the Brock Returning Scholars Award for his academic achievement in 2011 and 2012. Dr. Murphy concurrently worked in labs as a research assistant at Brock University, analyzing research in the fields of human movement and skeletal muscle function.

The Toronto Dragons are proud to welcome Dr. Murphy as part of the club's commitment to player health, safety, and positive athleticism.
