The Toronto Dragons Rugby Football Club was formed in May of 2003 after the merger between the Toronto Welsh RFC and University of Toronto RFC.
Combing the rich traditions, history and experience of the Welsh RFC with the youth, enthusiasm and strong administrative core of the University of Toronto RFC, the Toronto Dragons aspire to be one of the premier rugby clubs in the province.
We are committed to the development and enhancement of rugby in the Downtown Toronto area. Contributing volunteer coaches in local area high schools and organizing rugby skills clinics are two of the ways we are attempting to advance the sport at the grassroots level in the community at large.
We strive to field competitive teams at all levels and also create an active and vibrant social scene for our Club members. By developing camaraderie and team work on and off the pitch, we hope to provide every member of our Club with a great experience.
The Dragons are in the TRU, and support 3 men’s sides, 2 Junior Sides (U-18 and U-21) and are looking to create an Old Boy’s Side this season. We are open to anyone wishing to join an ambitious, fun and progressive rugby club. Our multiple sides and excellent coaching staff allow us to accommodate people of various ages and rugby skill levels.
Our local pub sponsor is The Duke of York (39 Prince Arthur Avenue), located one block North of Bloor Street, West of Avenue Road. |
